About us

From our Founder

Hopeful Hearts Child Counseling was founded by Alletta Zilimbola who is dedicated to helping children navigate the challenges of divorce and build a healthy self-esteem.

She is registered with ASCHP as a Wellness Counsellor (WC22/1185) South Africa.

I have always felt at peace after I help someone deal with their challenges. After completing my degree in BA (Health Science and Social Services), a Psychological Counselling from the University of South Africa, I then trained as a counsellor at Humanitas, Vita Nova. Being a wife and a mother, gives me a deeper understanding of my clients’ experiences and challenges.
I am passionate about the wellbeing of people.

Remember, seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but rather an act of love and strength. You’re doing the best you can for your child, and as hopefulhearts we are here to support you and your family every step of the way. Together, we can help your child navigate life’s challenges and build a future filled with hope and resilience.

Or if You

We are Hopeful hearts minors counseling.

Helping your child navigate the challenges of separation and divorce with specialized services and a compassionate approach.

At HopefulHearts, we understand the challenges that children face during this difficult time. Our caring and experienced therapists work with children ages 6-12 to help them process their emotions, develop healthy communication skills, and build a positive self-image. We also offer bullying and self-esteem building for 12-15-year-olds. Our therapy techniques are developmentally appropriate and tailored to each child’s needs.

Vision.

We envision a world where no child has to navigate the emotional turmoil of divorce or separation alone, where every child can navigate the complex emotions and changes brought on by life’s challenges – particularly separation and divorce – with courage, resilience, and hope.

Mission.

Our mission is to provide a sanctuary of compassion and understanding, safe haven, where they can express and manage their feelings, backed by our expert counselling team. We endeavour to empower children with strong communication skills, a positive self-image, and the ability to adapt and grow amid life changes.

OUR GOAL.

Our steadfast goal is to empower children to heal from the profound impact of divorce and separation, arming them with essential life skills to thrive amid adversity. We commit to creating a brighter, hopeful future for our children—one heart at a time.

Our Values

Children:

Our utmost value is the children we serve. We believe every child deserves to be heard, understood, and guided. Each child brings unique experiences and perspectives to our door, and we cherish and respect these, tailoring our services to meet their individual needs.

Family:

We believe in the power of the family as a pillar of support for the child. We engage family members in our process, fostering a supportive, caring environment for the child both within and outside our counseling rooms.

Compasion:

Compassion is at the heart of what we do. Our team empathizes with the struggles faced by each child, and this empathy guides our approach to therapy. We show kindness, patience, and understanding, nurturing a healing space where children feel safe and accepted.

Hope:

We uphold hope as a beacon guiding our work. Our ultimate goal is to inspire hope in every child’s heart, fostering resilience and strength for today and optimism for tomorrow. We firmly believe in the potential within each child to heal, grow, and thrive..

Safety:

Creating a safe and secure environment for children is a key value for us. We want children to feel protected and comfortable in expressing their feelings and experiences. Safety, for us, also extends to maintaining confidentiality and respect for each child’s privacy.

Support:

We commit to providing unwavering support for children and their families. We aim to be a reliable source of guidance and assistance, collaborating with families, teachers, and other caregivers to wrap around each child with support.

Testimonials

My ex-wife and I divorced and did not realize how it affected our 7, and 15 year old children, after some sessions with hopeful hearts our children understand what is going on and that we both still love them very much and are able to communicate with us without fear.
